The Sunrise Civic Center received numerous upgrades, including of a new athletic facility. The scope included the demolition of a portion of the east wing with the subsequent addition of the new athletic facilities and administrative offices. The addition added approximately 43,000 SF of space for a new multi-level fitness center, gymnasium with elevated indoor track, racquetball courts, multipurpose rooms, and administrative offices. The project also entailed re-roofing of the entire facility (250,000 SF) and modifications to the existing site and parking to include a new bus drop-off and facility access from the north.
